More than 25 years manufacturing molds
We manufacture precision and highly complex molds. We can use vacuum brazing or laser sintering solutions when necessary to obtain a better cycle and quality. The main sectors we work for are: Electrical, Electronics, Auto, Medical, LEDs and Reflectors, Machines and Appliances, Cosmetics, Menage, etc.
We usually make molds up to a maximum of 3 tons and 1000mm x 1000mm.

The Molds for Plastic Industry was born in Marinha Grande in 1946 by the hand of Mr. Aníbal H. Abrantes, although molds for glass were already manufactured in Marinha Grande before that date. For many years, A.H.A. was the university of molds, and many entrepreneurs came out of it. The founder of Matias Moldes was also trained at A.H.A. It was in the 50s that the development of mold exports began, with the initial market being the United States.
The Portuguese moldmaking industry has always excelled in technological innovation and even today invests almost 20% of its turnover in innovation and cutting-edge technology. The Portuguese mold industry is the third largest producer of molds in Europe and the eighth largest in the world. In 2017, it exported 671 million euros worth of molds.
Until joining the European Union, the Portuguese mold industry's main market was the United States and Canada. Today, the largest share of exports goes to community countries, with this market accounting for over 65% of sales.
Currently the sector that buys the most Portuguese molds is the automotive sector. The Portuguese mold industry has overcome adversity based on quality, innovation and technological investment. This image has enabled it to overcome the difficulties posed by new competitors, particularly from China.
The Portuguese mold industry has gradually adapted its prices and deadlines to the new market reality.
